Our Chief Guest Shri Sandeep Jindal, President, Shreeji Seva Sansthan & Shri Kapil Khurana – Member- awarded Certificates to 32 successful students from our Beauty Culture Training. They also motivated the young girls / women to become economically self reliant.
We are grateful to Shri Jindal & Shri Khurana for taking the time to be with us and award the Certificates.
We also thank them for their support – both financial and moral in the past years.
Skill Development Awards - 2018

An Event was organised in collaboration with Rotary Club of Delhi Central, in Shanti Sahyog Skill Development Center, Tughlakabad Village, to award Certificates to 30 of our students, who had successfully completed their 6 month SINGER Cutting & Tailoring Course. Mr Sunil Jain – President – and other Members of the Rotary Club did the honours. They were very impressed with the progress of our Centre and interacted keenly with the students at the Award Function.

54 students from our Skill Development Centers, in DDA Flats, Kalkaji & Tughlakabad Village, who had successfully completed their Basic Computer Application & Tally ERP 9 Courses, were awarded Certificates, by our Chief Guest, Sipra Narula, a popular Social Worker. She is well-known for her networking between corporates and the underprivileged, in order to help the latter. We are grateful to her for taking time out of her busy schedule and gracing the occasion.

Our Chief Guest, Mr Grover – SE DUSIB – awarded Certificates to the following successful students: 15 in 6 month Basic Computer Application & 12 in Tally ERP 9 Courses & 15 in Beauty Culture Course. Their exams were conducted by Jan Shiksha Sansthan Prayas – an agency recognized by H R D Ministry, Govt. of India. It was an honour to have Mr Grover and Mr Varshney – AE DUSIB – visit our Centre to do the honours.
Celebration of International Yoga Day

45 Shanti Sahyog Students and Staff did Yoga this morning, under the guidance of our Executive Board Member – Sharmila Abraham. Herself a regular practitioner of Yoga, her enthusiasm and vibrant energy permeated the participants, making it a memorable event! The Session started with an invocation of the Gods with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by pranayama, yogasanas, suryanamaskar and the Mahamrityunjaya mantra.
Visit to ISKCON Temple

The students of Shanti Sahyog Play/Pre School Kalkaji, visited ISKCON temple. They sang bhajans and recited ‘Hare Krishna Hare Rama‘ with great enthusiasm. They were served prasadam which was specially prepared for them by Food for Life Society. We thank Shri Vrajendra Nandan Das ji – Director, ISKCON National Communication – for arranging this visit and prasadam for our students.
Students Annual Outing

30 Students from our Skill Development Center, Tughlakabad Village, went to Badkhal Lake, Faridabad, accompanied by their instructors. They enjoyed their time together, doing fun activities like dancing, music, musical chairs, badminton, antakshri etc. It was a memorable trip!
Shanti Sahyog Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Shanti Sahyog AGM was held in the premises of our Skill Development / Women Centre, DDA Flats, Kalkaji. As is our tradition, the Meeting was preceded by a Cultural Program prepared by our students, which was highly appreciated by our Members. After their performance, our President, Dr. Aggarwal, presented the Annual Report 2016-17, interspersed by first hand success stories, narrated by the beneficiaries of our various projects in Education, Health & Skill Development.
Inauguration of Cutting & Tailoring Center, Tughlakabad Village

Dr Manju Mani, President, Rotary Club of Delhi Central inaugurated our Cutting & Tailoring Center at 1140 B, Churiya Mohala Tughlakabad Village, New Delhi 110044. The Center is a collaborative effort of Shanti Sahyog, SINGER & Rotary Club of Delhi Central. The First Batch started in January 2018 with 20 students and is increasing by the day. We would like to express our gratitude to the Rotary Club Members and Arpana Sarna ji & Darshana Ji from SINGER for gracing the occasion. Ms Arpana Sarna shared the SINGER syllabus with the students and assured them of her help and guidance. She also announced that they would get a SINGER sewing machine as a gift if they have full attendance and get a Ist grade position after evaluation. Dr Manju Mani also addressed the students, motivating them to do well in this trade. Special thanks to Mr. Rakesh Jain for organising this Event and for bringing delicious snacks.

Poor slum dwellers commonly suffer from unemployment, illiteracy, drug-addiction, and low mortality rates of both adults and children as a result of not supporting one, or all, of UN-HABITAT’s basic living conditions. We are actively working in 16 urban slums in Kalkaji/Govindpuri area & Tughlakabad village, New Delhi and our team consist of 43 people.
